Distance vs Accuracy in Golf

In golf, many people are interested in knowing what the longest drive is, but fewer people stop to think about the importance of accuracy. There is no entry in any record book for the most accurate shot ever hit and TV announcers during golf matches never stop to announce the accuracy statistics of a shot.

The distance of a drive is always bound to grab peoples’ attention more than accuracy. But that’s not to say it isn’t important. If you can reliably hit the ball 10 yards farther in every par 4 or 5 without sacrificing accuracy, you will be in a better position to make your approach shot each time.

However, it’s important not to sacrifice accuracy for distance. A longer drive that goes into the rough will not help you on you approach shot, in fact it will decrease the overall likelihood of hitting the green.

Basically, what this means is that you need to find a way to hit the ball farther without fiving up accuracy. And that’s exactly why we’ve created the Pause-N-Throw. Pause-N-Throw will allow you greater distance and improve your accuracy too! Check out some of our other articles to find out more about how it works.
